Background of the Award

 

The Lifetime Achievement Award (LAAward) is given to dealers who exhibit a high degree of honesty, reliability, experience, and loyalty within the sports collectibles business. The first award was presented to Chandy Greenholt in 2007. The following year, Jeff Whitmore became the 2008 recipient. Steve Brandenburg was the LA winner in 2009. The most recent dealer to take his place among the winners is Tony Mendiola, recipient of the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award. All four dealers have spent many years in the business as a whole as well as within the context of Collectors' Showcase of America, reaching back well before the first Show at Chantilly. We at CSA as well as our customers and theirs along with other dealers in the business have found that their word is to be trusted, which is part of what makes them Lifetime Achievers.

 

The 2010 award was presented to Tony Mendiola on Friday, March 26th during the Show at Chantilly.
